The New Balance Nitrel style is a junior velcro sports shoe made on a tough and durable (trail) outersole. Designed for added traction on grass or off road this brings a hard wearing element, as does the "toe protect" overlay to protect against toe drag.
Note this velcro version is available in sizes 11-3, the lace version in sizes 4-7.
